God Saves His People from Egypt

Bible Base – Exodus 3 – 12 v 42

God’s people are in Egypt ruled by cruel Pharaoh

image

Pharaoh was a guy who loved to say NO!

Even worse he loved to say NO to God, that will only end in disaster!

Moses is now grown up and God sends him to Pharaoh with a message….

image

Let my people go!

Pharaoh says…….. No!

Pharaoh thinks he’s in control, but God shows Pharaoh plague by plague how He alone is King, and that He rules all things.

Not sure we got them all in, check in your Bible….

Let my people go!  NO!

Finally the worst of all plagues, to show that God rules life.

He alone can judge, but even better, He alone can save.  God says a lamb can die instead, paint the blood on the door to show the lamb has taken your place, you will be safe, and you will be set free.

God’s people were safe and set free from being slaves in Egypt, and sang….

………a celebration song, similar to the Johnny cash number made famous by a night in Istanbul UEFA champions league final 2005, an amazing reds victory. The song was different, but they would certainly have been as happy!

Next they reach the Red Sea

image

Pharaoh is chasing, what will they do!!

PANIC! They quickly forgot, God who rules all things saves His people

image

God parts the sea and His people cross to safety

image

ASTOUNDING, this really happened, that’s how great God is.

Then God judges His enemies..

image

God rules all things, to say no to him ends in disaster and death

Like Pharaoh we have all said no to God and deserve disaster; But GOD SAVES!

Jesus the perfect lamb of God took my place, shed his blood so I can escape judgement, and be free, YIPPEE!

God is a saving God

He is our King!
